Everything Will Be Okay

Everything Will Be Okay is an ongoing project utilizing structured language, the language of advertising, and public space to distribute a message.

These two pieces were dispersed yesterday.

The whole project is documented here: everything-will-be-okay.tumblr.com

Tonight: Regression into Relations opens at Madame of the Arts.

Translations, Theories, and Tessellations

An image of me with my work at the Science Museum of Minnesota. Translations, Theories, and Tessellations is a 12-artist group show responding to the Science Museum's collections and archives, which we had the incredible opportunity to spend time with.

My pieces are Huichol-inspired yarn paintings from my current series Nearika, a rare visual/gallery-oriented endeavor for me. More work in this vain will appear in this weekend's Regression into Relations show at the Madame of the Arts.

I've decided to get back into blogging as a way to document and analyze my own work, as well as a way to maintain a strange public diary of events and influences.

I'll try to keep the rambling to a minimum.
